- Powder comes in all shades but the most foolproof is translucent (let your natural skin-color come through) and yellow based tones which suit Asian skin tones.
- Match powder to your skin tone or choose a slightly lighter one if you want to wear it on top of your foundation. Never go darker as this will change the color of your foundation.
- Use a powder puff to press and roll powder onto your skin. A puff gives more even coverage. However, if you have dry skin, you may want to apply powder and foundation formulas with a brush so it will not show-off flakey skin.
- Allow powder to sink in before layering to make sure it stays in place. Avoid shimmering powders if you have fine lines around your face and only apply to key areas such as your cheekbones and brow bones to highlight.
